1. Pick the right weight

A 280-320 GSM fleece is a comfortable all-year hoodie. 380 GSM and above is a heavy winter piece with a more premium drape. Lighter fleece suits layering and warmer climates. Heavier fleece feels more expensive but costs more to produce and ship.

2. Pullover vs zip-up

Pullovers are the classic streetwear shape and usually a little cheaper to make. Zip-ups are easier to wear in and out and are often preferred for workwear and team uniforms. Pick based on how your customer will use it.

3. Print and finish options

Screen printing is best for bold, flat-colour logos. Embroidery adds a premium feel and works well on heavier fleece. DTF and puff print give more texture and detail on smaller runs. Always test the print on the actual fleece before bulk.

4. Fleece types

Brushed-back fleece is soft and warm inside, the standard for hoodies. French terry is lighter and smoother, better for year-round pieces. Cotton-poly fleece resists shrinking, while 100% cotton fleece feels softer but needs more care.

5. Details that lift the hoodie

Double-lined hoods, reinforced kangaroo pockets, ribbed cuffs and a high-quality drawcord all signal premium quality. These small details are cheap to add but make a big difference in how the hoodie feels.

6. Sample before you commit

Fleece weight and fit are hard to judge from a photo. Order a sample hoodie first, wash it once and check the print. It is the cheapest insurance against a bad bulk order.
